William A. Chen is the Founding Managing Partner of ClearVue Partners, a private equity fund focused on the consumer sector of China.

Prior to founding ClearVue, Mr. Chen was the Managing Director of DT Capital Partners where he led investments in the Consumer and TMT sectors (2007-12). He was Founder and CEO of Accelergy Corporation, an energy technology company with US and China operations (2003-07) and Founder and CEO of OnePage, Inc. an enterprise portal software company which was acquired by Sybase, Inc. in 2002. Prior to founding OnePage, Chen was co-founder of Billpoint, Inc., which pioneered the concept of online person-to-person payments. Billpoint became the leading provider of person-to-person payment services and was acquired by eBay in 1999 as a payment solution for their online auction marketplace. Chen also served in management positions for the internet portal Excite and Classifieds2000 (acquired by Excite in 1998), Andersen Consulting Strategic Services (Accenture), and IBM.

Mr. Chen is a member of the Harvard Business School Dean’s Advisors Board and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute. Additionally, he has served on the Harvard Business School Alumni Board and the Center for Entrepreneurship at University of Florida College of Business Advisory Board. He has also served as President of the the Asia America Multi Technology Association (AAMA) and as Chapter Chair for YPO Shanghai.

Mr. Chen was a 2006 Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellow and the 2003 Entrepreneur of the Year from University of Florida. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from the University of Florida.
