Preeti Verma is a Research Analyst with WRI’S Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) project. Her research mainly focuses on assessing the technical, regulatory and social aspects of CCS technology. At present she is involved in developing guidelines for ensuring safe and effective deployment of CCS projects.

Prior to WRI, she has been associated with The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi India working on Climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Preeti did her Masters majoring in Environment Science and Policy from Clark University, Massachusetts U.S.A and Environment Management from Forest Research Institute Dehradun, India and Bachelors in Ecological Sciences from Hansraj College University of Delhi, India.
